Country pub with excellent food, drinks and customer service.
Fantastic to have The Bell open again with new management. An impressive choice of well kept real ales for the discerning beer drinker and some good wines with lovely customer service. Food last night was off the Plat du Jour menu, 3 courses of quality ingredients beautifully cooked and presented. Always satisfying when eating out to be given a plate of food that’s better than home cooking and the chicken main course would of been a credit to a high class restaurant.
Thanks to Neil, Harry, Daniel and chef.
A Traditional Village Pub is back.
For many years The Bell was our local proper country pub. Just great to have new owners who have brought it back to being, simply a great village pub. We popped in for lunch. Excellent reasonably priced menu, really friendly service. It deserves local support. Great to hear that the villagers are coming back AND even the Open Mic is back on first Sunday of the month. It used to be a great night. Support your local. This pub and the team behind it now, deserve it.
One of my favourites is back!
Very happy that this pub is back. The atmosphere is just as it should be. Busy and jovial. Beer is kept very well. The staff are very pleasant. There is space set aside for people who just want to drink. The food is great. I’ve been 3 times this month alone. Great value!
Top Sunday roast.
Obviously popped in here on a very cold Sunday afternoon.. lovely fire going on and a nice busy atmosphere..nice welcome.
Prompt service and ordered the house red..very good wine and went well with the roast beef lunch.. cauliflower cheese was included and everything was excellent.. grazed on cheese and biscuits after and another red .. already booked for next week… couldn’t fault it .
